  • Review of epidemiology and medical considerations for treating pediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
  • Review of recent research and literature pertaining to the medical management of pediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea.

*Cancellation/Refund Policy: Courses which do not receive sufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation. In the event a course is filled or cancelled, NYU Langone Hospitals Postdoctoral Dental Residency Program will refund the full tuition. A full refund will be given for lecture courses if written notification of withdrawal is received and confirmed 45 days prior to the program date.

 10:45 a.m.   Dr. David Okuji: Outcomes of the multi-site research project on POSA and opportunities for inter-professional collaboration and practice

  1:00 p.m.   Ms. Nicole Goldfarb: What dentists should know about POSA from the perspective of orofacial myology and speech-language pathology

   2:15 p.m.   Dr. Rakesh Bhattacharjee: Visions of a pediatric sleep medicine-led multi-disciplinary POSA team which focuses on the integration of and logistics for dentists
POSA - overview of non-dental management, surgical management, photos/videos of sleep studies, etc.
