Learn about the value of a general dentistry residency, how to become a stronger dental candidate and what the new next steps are for beginning your career as a general dentist.
Learning Objectives (Part 2)
Connie L. White, DDS, FAGD, is AGD president. She is a general dentist from Kansas City, Missouri, as well as an associate professor, interim dean for clinical programs, and assistant dean for community relations and communications at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry.
David Stillwell, DDS, MAGD, earned his dental degree from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1983 and completed a general practice residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and Clinics in 1984. He maintained a private practice from 1984 to 2003, focusing on hospital dentistry, implantology and family care, and holds medical staff privileges in dentistry with New York University Langone Health. Dr. Stillwell is a Senior Associate Director for NYU Langone Dental Medicine's Advanced Education in General Dentistry
Elizabeth A. Clemente, DDS, MAGD, is AGD treasurer. She is currently director of the general practice residency program and chair of the department of dentistry at Morristown Medical Center. Clemente received her DDS from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
Mai-Ly Duong, DMD, MPH, MAEd, MAGD, serves as a full-time associate professor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University and as a part-time associate dentist at Sundance Dental Care in Phoenix. Duong holds fellowships in the Special Care Dentistry Association, the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Duong is a NYU Langone Dental Medicine AEGD Alumni, 2013.
