DPH Residents Make Poster Presentations for NOHC Conference

Congratulations to NYU Langone Dental Medicine Dental Public Health (DPH) residents Sahira Khalid and Rachel King who were selected to make poster presentations for the National Oral Health Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 18, 2016.  The NOHC is the largest meeting of dental public health professionals in the U.S. and is sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD).  

Dr. Khalid is a DPH resident at Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Yakima, Washington.  Her research topic was "Betel Nut Use Among Pregnant Women: Development of a Questionnaire."

Dr. King is a DPH resident at St Joseph's Health Services in Providence, Rhode Island.  Her research topic was "Rhode Island Pregnant Women’s Receipt of Oral Health Care and Reported Barriers: 2012-2013 Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)."
