Neighbors caring for neighbors. In his close-knit community setting, residents actively support community families who are in need. Since 2001, the CASS Dental Clinic's priority has been to provide quality, comprehensive dental care to children, families and adults within the homeless population. Our clinics include: Children's Dental Clinic Program, Homeless Veteran's Dental Program, CASS School of Dental Assisting, and the Children's Dental Clinic serving the Murphy Community. The CASS Dental Clinic opened on January 1st, 2001, in a two-chair dental trailer with 20 volunteer dentists, 15 hygienists, and 20 dental labs. Dental Clinic clients receive an array of high-quality services including, cleanings, root canals, dentures and partials, crowns and bridges, fillings, extractions, veneers, cosmetics, implants, and oral surgery. The CASS Dental Clinic for Children at Murphy is an on-site, no-cost, school-based, comprehensive dental home for the children who live in the Murphy School District in south Phoenix. The Murphy Clinic eliminates barriers to services and provides timely and quality dental care to each of the 2,200 children enrolled in the district’s four elementary schools.The Murphy Clinic is the only full portable, self-contained, school-based comprehensive dental clinic in Arizona. Three portable operatories (treatment chairs), a hand-held X-ray machine, laptop computers, and a web-based dental practice management system, allow the Murphy Clinic to setup and operate in an open classroom or auditorium. Residents work under direct guidance of highly skilled general and pediatric dentists.
