Serving the Underserved from Makapu`u to Kualoa. Waimānalo Health Center became a federally qualified health center in 1994 and is committed to providing the highest level of primary and preventive health services, with special attention to the needs of Native Hawaiians and the medically underserved, and improving the health and wellness of individuals and their `ohana regardless of their ability to pay. The facility—consisting of six separate buildings, retrofitted into five trailers and a community services building—sits at the foothills of O`ahu’s majestic Ko`olau Mountains, in the center of Waimānalo and serves the northeastern coast of O`ahu, providing programs from Makapu`u to Kualoa. The Dental Center (or Kī) provides comprehensive preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care. The Waimanalo Health Center is a community-based non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Hawai`i nei by providing ready access to primary and preventive holistic health services.
