Premier Asian Community Health Center. Incorporated in 1972, South Cove Community Health Center ('South Cove') is the largest Asian community health center in Massachusetts, serving all medically underserved, with a special focus on Asian Americans. The Center is an affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. Beyond dental services, South Cove provides medical and behavioral health services and youth and family programs for approximately 30,000 clients at four locations in the greater Boston area. Health care professionals are fluent in Chinese Mandarin, Cantonese, Toisanese, Taiwanese, Vietnamese, Malay and Khmer. Services are provided in adult medicine, optometry, family life, pediatrics, dental, behavioral health, health education, and ob/gyn. Residents will have an opportunity to provide general dentistry, oral surgery and a school fluoride treatment program alongside a team of highly experienced dental professionals. Residents, under the supervision of faculty mentors will provide services in (but not limited to) the following areas: Crown lengthening, Diagnostics and preventive service, Endodontics (single rooted teeth and multiple rooted teeth), Endodontics, Implant placement, Implant restoration, Oral surgery (exodentia), Oral surgery (complex), Pain management, Pediatric dentistry, Periodontics care including surgery, Preventive dentistry, Restorative dentistry, Prosthetics, and Prosthetics.
